Your entire plumbing system leads to the same place – the sewer line, which plays a vital role in carrying waste from your home, all the way to the nearest treatment plant. The California Plumbing Code requires that your sewer lines are buried at least 12 inches into the ground. Since the sewer line lays below your property and isn’t visible to the eye, establishing the cause and exact location of the problem cannot be done without professional assistance.
Fortunately, here at VIP Sewer and Drain services, our well equipped and knowledgeable professionals have the necessary skill and experience that allows for a much quicker and smoother process of fixing a sewer line than traditional methods used in the past.
Warning Signs of a Damaged Sewer Line
Sewer line problems are often accompanied by gurgling noises, slow drains, unpleasant odors, sudden lush, green patches in your lawn and/or a backed up clean out. Water backing up out of your fixtures is another telltale sign of a clogged or damaged sewer line. If your main sewer line is clogged, water coming down from one fixture won’t be able to pass down through the sewer line, and will come back up through the next available opening – another fixture right inside your home.
A damaged sewer line can quickly create very costly and complicated problems, therefore if you have recognized any of these symptoms it is crucial to act quickly to prevent further damage.
Sewer Line Repair and Replacement Methods
Here at VIP Sewer and Drain Services, we like to stay on top of innovative plumbing solutions that allow us to tackle the toughest problems and provide the best solutions. Some of the sewer line repair and replacement methods we use include:
Pipe-Lining – Pipe-lining is essentially, placing a new pipe inside an old pipe. This is done by cleaning out the old pipe of any debri, inserting a liner that adheres to its inner walls and saturating it with an epoxy mix that then cures and becomes your new pipe.
Epoxy Brush Coating – Epoxy brush coating is a new method of restoring and rehabilitation for sewer lines and drain pipes. Similarly to pipe-lining, epoxy brush coating works by applying an even coat to the inside of your walls to cover and fill any pinholes, cracks and corrosion. This is an alternative to pipe replacement, extending the life of the lines currently in your plumbing system.
