trenchless sewer line repair

Trenchless sewer line repair, as the name suggests, is a sewer repair service that does not include the digging of trenches. It’s less invasive than traditional methods and comes with a load of benefits. While it’s not a solution that’s available in all cases, it is the preferred way whenever possible. There are several kinds of trenchless sewer line repair services – here are a few of these options.

Trenchless Sewer Line Repair Services

Pipe bursting is a trenchless method of completely replacing buried pipelines. It’s a two in one method that involves bursting your old pipe into small pieces, removing it and replacing it with a brand new one. All without the cost and hassle of digging.

There are three basic methods of pipe bursting: pneumatic, hydraulic, and static pull. Pneumatic pipe bursting is the most common method for sewer line replacement, while hydraulic and static are more often used to replace water or gas lines as well as old cast iron pipes.

Pipe bursting is also used for “upsizing”. This means your pipes are expanded and replaced with bigger sized pipes with a larger carrying capacity.

Epoxy brush coating is a new method of restoring and rehabilitation for sewer lines and drain pipes. Epoxy is a chemical compound which can be used to coat and infuse various materials. This in turn provides waterproofing, strength and durability.

Epoxy brush coating can be used to coat an entire pipe or just a small section, depending on the problem at hand. Epoxy coating is NCF certified meaning it complies with specific and high standards for safety, quality, sustainability or performance. Epoxy brush coating is a fast process which can usually be done in one day and once cured the epoxy coat is three times as strong as concrete and can be used as an adhesive or filler.

Hydro jetting is a trenchless and efficient method of cleaning out your drain pipes or sewer line. This method effectively loosens debri, scale buildup and even resolves tree root infiltration. It is the number one recommended and preferred method of drain and sewer line cleaning because it not only clears up buildup that clogs your pipes, but it aids in the prevention of clogs forming in the future.

Trenchless Sewer Line Repair Benefits

This means not disturbing your lawn or your home and its foundation. Since trenchless sewer repair skips these steps it saves you the hassle of obtaining additional work permits and city approval, which can be quite time consuming. It’s an effective sewer repair method that not only saves you time but is also cost effective.

It’s less invasive and less time consuming. Traditional sewer repair methods involve the digging up of your lawn or worse, the disturbing of your home and its foundation, affecting its integrity. Oftentimes this also involves additional repairs to your lawn, floors and slab.

Since trenchless sewer repair skips these steps, it allows the job to be done in as little as one day or less. It also saves you the hassle of obtaining more work permits and city approval, which can be quite time consuming as well.

It’s cost-effective and affordable. Without all the digging up of dirt and damaging parking lots or driveways and the extra labor we mentioned above, going trenchless will bring the bill down significantly.  But not only does trenchless sewer repair require less costly work, it’s generally cheaper itself with roughly $135-$200 per linear foot vs. the traditional sewer repair costing $175- $250 per linear foot.

It’s effective and provides lasting results.  Often times, when a job offers cheaper and quicker results, the quality of the work takes a hit. This is not the case with trenchless sewer repair.
